Ingredients
  

  • 100 grams 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 60 ml Water
  • 180 grams Italian seasoned bread crumbs
  • 2.5 grams garlic salt
  • 80 grams  all-purpose flour
  • 40 grams cornstarch
  • 480 ml oil for frying (vegetable oil is fine)
  • 460 grams package mozzarella cheese sticks

Instructions
 

  • Mix the Coatings: In a small bowl, whisk together 60ml of water and 2 large beaten eggs.
  • In a medium bowl, combine 180g of Italian seasoned bread crumbs with 2.5g of garlic salt.
  • In a third bowl, blend 80g of all-purpose flour with 40g of cornstarch
  • Heat the Oil: In a large, heavy saucepan, heat oil to 365°F (185°C).
  • Coat the Cheese Sticks: Take a mozzarella stick and dredge it in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
  • Dip the floured cheese stick into the egg mixture, allowing any excess egg to drip back into the bowl.
  • Press the cheese stick into the bread crumb mixture, ensuring it is fully coated.
  • Place the breaded mozzarella stick on a plate or wire rack.
  • Repeat this process with the remaining mozzarella sticks.
  • Fry the Cheese Sticks: Using a spider spoon or tongs, carefully lower 3 to 4 breaded mozzarella sticks into the hot oil.
  • Fry until golden brown, about 30 seconds.
  • Remove the cheese sticks from the oil and drain them on paper towels.
  • Repeat the frying process with the remaining mozzarella sticks.
  • Serve the mozzarella sticks hot and enjoy with your favorite dipping sauce, such as marinara or a sweet chilli sauce
