Indian Pub Sheesh Kebab Recipe
This Indian pub-style sheesh kebab recipe brings together a blend of aromatic spices and succulent ground meat to create mouthwatering kebabs. Ingredients
- 1 kg minced lamb (80/20% meat to fat ratio)
- 1 red onion, finely chopped
- 5 cloves garlic, crushed
- 2 tbsp ginger, grated
- 4 green bird's eye chilies, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp mint leaves, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp coriander (cilantro), finely chopped
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp Kashmiri chili powder
- 2 tsp ground coriander
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 2 tbsp yogurt
For the mint chutney:
- 1 cup fresh mint leaves
- 1/2 cup fresh coriander leaves
- 2-3 green chilies
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Finely chop the onion and squeeze out excess moisture using a cloth.
- Mix all ingredients for the kebab in a large bowl. Knead well for about 5 minutes.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 3 hours or overnight.
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
- Wet your hands and form the meat mixture around skewers.
- Grill for 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until cooked through and charred on the outside.
- For the chutney, blend all ingredients until smooth.
- Serve hot kebabs with mint chutney.
