Ingredients
  

  • 14g butter (1 tbsp)
  • 16g all-purpose flour (2 tbsp)
  • 240ml semi skimmed milk (1 cup)
  • 55g Grated cheddar cheese or eden cheese
  • 115g Grated mozzarella cheese 

Method
 

  1. Preparing the Cheese Sauce
  2. Start the roux: In a heated saucepan (medium heat), melt 14g butter.
  3. Add 16g all-purpose flour and mix/whisk thoroughly
  4. Cook the butter-flour mixture until well combined.
  5. Add the milk: Gradually pour in 240ml milk. Whisking the whole time
  6. Whisk continuously to prevent lumps from forming.
  7. Ensure the mixture is smooth and well-combined.
  8. Incorporate the cheese: Add 55g grated cheddar cheese (or eden cheese) and 115g grated mozzarella cheese.
  9. Whisk constantly until all cheese is melted.
  10. The sauce should become ooey-gooey and sticky in consistency.
  11. Serve hot with breads or meats of choice!
