Ingredients
  

Ingredients for Chilli Fish: For marination:

  • 500g boneless fish fillets (like basa or tilapia), cut into cubes
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 egg white
  • 3 tbsp cornflour
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • Salt to taste

For the sauce:

  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 green chilies, slit
  • 1 onion, cut into petals
  • 1 bell pepper, cubed
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 1 tbsp green chili sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup water mixed with 1 tsp cornflour

Yogurt Mint Sauce:

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt to taste

Instructions
 

  • Marinate fish with all marination ingredients for 30 minutes.
  • Deep fry marinated fish until golden. Set aside.
  • In a wok, heat oil and stir-fry green chilies, onion, bell pepper, and garlic.
  • Add soy sauce, vinegar, ketchup, chili sauce, sugar, and salt.
  • Add fried fish and toss.
  • Pour in cornflour slurry and cook until sauce thickens.
  • Garnish with spring onions and serve hot.

Yogurt Mint Sauce:

  • Mix all ingredients in a bowl.
  • Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
