Ingredients

  • 250 grams cream cheese, softened
  • 100 grams powdered sugar
  • 200 ml heavy cream, chilled
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional, for a tangy flavor)
  • Fresh fruit or fruit sauce for topping (optional)

Method

  1. Prepare the Cheese Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and lemon juice (if using).
  2. Beat the mixture with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
  3.  Whip the Cream: In a separate bowl, whip the chilled heavy cream until soft peaks form. Be careful not to over-whip, as this can cause the cream to become grainy.
  4. Combine the Mixtures: Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture using a spatula. Continue folding until the mixture is well combined and smooth.
  5. Chill the Mousse: Spoon the cheese mousse into individual serving glasses or bowls.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the mousse to set.
  7. Serve: Before serving, top the cheese mousse with fresh fruit or a drizzle of fruit sauce if desired.
  8. Enjoy this creamy and decadent dessert!
